Innovative web based solution
- HazTrack was built from the ground up as a web based application,
leveraging on the open standards of the Java 2EE model, and because
it never existed as a Windows client/server application it is both
highly scalable and portable across virtually any platform.
* Waste profile approval simplifies daily transactions
- Some commercially available software supports the concept of a
waste approval; however, their support is little more that providing
a way to notify the user when the approval expires. HazTrack not
only supports the concept of a waste approval, but actually embraces
it in the same fashion in which it works on a daily basis in the
industry. The waste approval in HazTrack associates a waste profile
to an off-site location which has agreed to manage the waste stream.
That agreement will almost always come at a price, and that pricing
is typically on a per container or per unit of measure (e.g., cubic
yards) basis. When the off-site vendor agrees to manage a waste,
the price that they quoted for the service can be captured within
HazTrack, and that information is then used to estimate disposal
costs for inventory and shipments of the waste. When the off-site
vendor agrees to manage a waste, they also typically require what
can be a bewildering array of forms to accompany any shipment of
the waste.
HazTrack allows you to capture the forms and associate them with
the approval so that when shipping documents are produced, the correct
forms will always be part of the shipping documents. The shipment
of a specific waste off-site can often lead to questions or information
that must be conveyed to the person who is scheduling the shipment
(e.g., "make sure to use stainless steel tanker truck").
HazTrack allows you to capture these important issues and associate
them with the approval so that when the waste is selected for an
off-site shipment, the information is conveyed to the person scheduling
the shipment.
* Biennial reporting changes completely covered - HazTrack
delivers all the primary functionality needed to automatically generate
both printed and electronic versions of the biennial report in the
new format dictated by US EPA.
New Universal Manifest information
completely covered -HazTrack fully supports the current 'state-based'
manifesting system as well as the new Universal Manifest proposed
by US EPA.
* New 'electronic' manifest
information completely covered - HazTrack can easily manage
manifest data in the XML format specified by the US EPA in the proposed
rule.
* On-site inventory tracking completely covered -
The on-site accumulation, and storage, of wastes is fully covered
by HazTrack, including the estimated cost for disposal of inventory
containers, and is also fully integrated with the shipment feature
so that there is no redundant data entry when setting up out-bound
shipments.
* Invoice Tracking completely covered - Vendor invoices
for shipments can be entered and compared to the estimated costs
based on manifest line items, as well as other costs associated
with an off-site shipment (e.g., demurrage, surcharges, etc.) allowing
LMCO MFC to effectively manage its vendor commitments.
* Destination TSD facility based
shipping documents - HazTrack produces the printed manifest
document, as well as any other facility/waste required documents
(e.g., LDR forms, UHC forms, PCB forms, etc.), based on the destination
facility for the shipment ensuring that your shipping documents
are always correct and complete for all your off-site shipments.
* Shipments organized on a process basis -HazTrack allows
the user to 'build the load' by selecting the waste (either directly
or selecting items from inventory) to be shipped off-site without
having to concern themselves with the shipping documents. HazTrack
also allows the user to 'schedule' the shipment with the primary
transporter, a step which is all but missing in most commercially
available software, at which time HazTrack automatically generates
all the required shipping documents (e.g., manifests, LDR forms,
UHC forms, etc.) without having to ask the user which documents
to use. Finally, HazTrack allows the user to then track the receipt
of invoices associated with the off-site shipment for comparison
to the agreed upon pricing for each of the waste streams. Our logic
is that shipments are about scheduling and invoicing; whereas manifests
are for record keeping and reporting.
